 Art Attack Blog, Week 5, term 3

You can use any of the following to help you complete your art attack blog

WHAT?

For art attack my goal was to produce a piece of art related to our local landscape using either paint, watercolor or pastel.

With Mrs Marsh I learned about foreground, midground and background in landscapes.

With Mr Forman I learned about colour and complementary colours.

With Mr Rule I looked at the different landscape features of Canterbury and Banks Peninsula.

SO WHAT?

• I found the drafting bit of the process easy because your free to make mistakes. And the good. copy a bit hard not to hard because it's the only one you will get.
• I enjoyed the colouring in with the pastels on the good copy because I've used pastels before. but not a weeks worth of it.

NOW WHAT?

• I would like to try water colors because I've never tried it before and it seems interesting.
• I would like to get better at staying in the lines while using the pastels on my good copy.

cultural week 2017

Cultural week has been pretty good
                                                                                                                                                                    We've learned about Israel like there's a sea called the dead sea because there's so much salt that no marine life can live there its really good for your skin. Unless you have cuts because if you do it will hurt so bad.

We've also been learning about Russia and I didn't know that the Russia underground is so beautiful. Like you have to see it in other news it gets so cold like it can get to -71 degrees. And boiling water just turn's into snow.

And we also learned about china we tried to use chopsticks and make paper things I don't know the chopsticks were quite hard to use.

I loved this learning experience.

I have been identifying my literacy goals for the start of term 3

My reading teacher is Mr Rule

My writing teacher is Mr Rule

So What?

My handwriting goal is to learning to flick letters correctly

My spelling goal is to complete list Spelling list 7

My writing goal is to write about a moment in time using a picture prompt while staying in the moment and also using variety of detail and writing about what you were thinking

   use a variety of simple, compound and complex sentences. e.g of an compound sentence. I did my homework, but I wanted to go to the park.

e.g of an complex sentence. While my sister did homework, I went to the park.

use a variety of verbs and adjectives to make my writing more interesting nouns

My reading goal is to use several pieces of information to make inferences (on information not directly in the text)

My blog goals are  to  add more detail to my blog posts

• to proofread and edit my blog post before publishing
• to use a variety of ways to show my learning (text, photos/images, video)
• to complete all the set blogs for this term
• to do a ‘Can Do’ blog about an achievement, some other learning or something I am proud of
